For more than three decades, DDFK has been bringing the spirit of Bavaria to events across the United Kingdom and beyond. Founded in 1995 by musician and entertainer Geoff Moore, the band has grown from its traditional Oompah roots into one of the UK's most recognised and experienced Oktoberfest entertainment acts.

Known for combining authentic Bavarian music, German Schlager favourites and crowd-pleasing party classics, DDFK creates the kind of atmosphere that turns an ordinary event into a memorable celebration. Whether performing at major Oktoberfest festivals, corporate events, sporting occasions or private parties, the band's focus has always remained the same, bringing people together through music, laughter and unforgettable shared experiences.

Over the years, DDFK has entertained audiences across the UK, Germany, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, performing for thousands of guests while staying true to the traditions that inspired the band from the very beginning. Our Story

DDFK began life in 1995 under its original name, Die Dorf Fest Kapelle, founded by Geoff Moore with a passion for traditional Bavarian music and live entertainment. In the early years, the repertoire focused on classic Oompah favourites, lively polkas and traditional waltzes that captured the atmosphere of a genuine German beer festival.

As audiences evolved, so did the band. Alongside the traditional repertoire came German Schlager hits, sing-along favourites and carefully chosen modern party anthems that encouraged audiences of all ages to join the celebration. This unique combination of tradition and entertainment helped establish DDFK as a favourite choice for Oktoberfest events and Bavarian-themed celebrations throughout the UK.

In 2016, the band adopted the shorter name DDFK, making it easier for audiences and event organisers to remember while preserving the identity and heritage built over two decades of performing. Although the name changed, the band's commitment to authentic entertainment, professional musicianship and audience engagement remained exactly the same.

Today, DDFK continues to perform with the same passion and enthusiasm that inspired its creation in 1995, proudly representing Bavarian musical traditions while delivering an experience that modern audiences love.

Performing Alongside Schlager Star Peter Wackel

Over the years, DDFK has had the privilege of performing alongside renowned German Schlager artist Peter Wackel at a number of special events. Highlights include appearances at his annual Hüttengaudi in Nürnberg, the popular Oktoberfest Party Boat in Köln and the Peter Wackel Golf Trophy in Mallorca. These performances reflect DDFK's strong connection to authentic German party culture and the wider Oktoberfest entertainment scene.
